Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
The most striking thing about Amica is her size. She stands at 6’2” and has wide hips with a large chest, muscled though there’s some extra fat on her thanks to her love of frying everything. This extra weight tends to settle on her stomach, hips, and down her thighs, which can make her seem a little bottom-heavy. Her F cup chest helps even it out, at least.
2. How old is she?
From the first Europeans in her area, she’d be 495 (the Spanish arriving in 1519). However, her physical age has her in her mid-twenties, about 24 years.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
She stands very straight and tall, not one to slouch despite her height. Thanks to centuries of horseback riding, she has very proper posture, though if she’s tired or not feeling well, she may start to slouch a bit, the degree depending upon how she’s feeling.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Amica’s pretty fit for the most part, despite her extra bit of fat. She’s an active person and keeps herself busy, though she really isn’t one for a desk job; she’d rather be doing honest work instead.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Normally she has a certain amount of grace and that distinctive feminine swagger, though that tends to go away if she’s taken out of her comfort zone. In such situations, she’s usually tense and somewhat clumsy.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
Confidence isn’t an issue with her. Though she may feel uncomfortable in formal outfits or swimwear sometimes, she’s comfortable in her own skin. She knows she’s pretty.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Fairly dark, a light or medium brown with yellow undertones. It’s clear for the most part, exceptions being her scarred back and a birthmark on her right index finger.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Very long, reaching down to her lower back though there’s shorter cheek-bone length bangs that frame her face. It’s thick and soft, mostly straight though the ends curl a little, especially when humid. It’s usually kept tied in a ponytail to keep it out of the way, though when it’s windy she doesn’t pull it through the hair band the last time so it stays tied up and doesn’t blow around so much.
9. What color are her eyes?
A medium to dark forest green.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Besides the scar and birthmark, no.
11. What are her chief tension centers?
Her shoulders and back.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
Very casual and utilitarian; Amica isn’t the type to dress up very much. She will if she must, in which case it’s pants suits and similar attire, but she tends to feel a bit silly all dolled up and often can’t wait to leave and change into one of her usual outfits. These are either shorts or jeans of denim, some type of t-shirt or blouse, and western boots. She tends to not wear buttoned-up shirts, since it’s hard to find one that doesn’t do the thing thanks to the size of her chest. She’s not a big fan of bright colors since she thinks they’re too gaudy and look silly, but she has several pieces that are pastels and neutrals.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
Most do; it can be a huge pain finding something cute in plus sizes, so some she’s tailored or had tailored to fit better. If it’s the casual outfits she’s plenty comfortable, though. She just feels silly and a little insecure in fancy clothes.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
Depends on the job at hand. If she’s working outside, it’s usually the same as her regular outfit since that’s the purpose of the clothes in the first place, but if she’s having to go into a meeting or formal function she can’t skip out on she’ll wear pant suits. If she wears a dress, she’s always wearing shorts underneath it.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Usually boyshorts or hipsters. She doesn’t go commando because she’s usually wearing denim and doesn’t have a death wish.


Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Roughly a mezzo-soprano; it’s not the highest voice, but there’s some pitch to it. Her voice is smooth and even, more from her chest than her nose, and her emotions often show clearly through it.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
More of a medium; unless there’s a reason why, her voice isn’t particularly loud or soft. She has a bit of a Southern twang that shows up more if she’s spending time in East Texas, which causes her voice to kind of sling-shot between the drawl and that twang. She’s the sort to speak her mind so she doesn’t hesitate, but that’s not necessarily to say she doesn’t think before speaking.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Texan accent, though it can go more Western or Southern if she’s in the relevant regions since she tends to pick up the dialect her citizens around her are speaking in.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Fluent in English and Spanish, more conversational in French. She also knows Texas German, though not quite so familiar with the language’s European counterpart.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
She does; either she’s speaking to someone who doesn’t know the original language she spoke in so she switched to accommodate them, or she can’t find the correct word she wants in one language. For example, English tends to be a very stifling language when it comes to emotions, so she may switch to really communicate what she means.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
It’s best she thinks first. Things tend to get awkward or embarrassing, at least for her, otherwise.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Fairly eloquent, provided she’s not having to give an impromptu speech or something. If she’s nervous or otherwise feeling out of her element enough she gets a little more inarticulate, though.

1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?

15. What are her hopes or aspirations?

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
